Jerm's blog. Also check out Triple Minority, which surely will be a credit to us all.

The blog has been moved to right about here.

interim: Illegal Immigrants

Hmm. Something has been brought to my attention.
Gana La Verde, obviously translated as "Win the Green" is a Fear Factor -like show where the green is not money, but a green card.

Man, how pathetic is this? First of all, if I were an illegal immigrant, I would be really suspicious about auditioning for this show.
"Hey, we're doing a TV show. Are you an illegal immigrant? I'm not with the INS or anything."
At first when I heard about it, I thought that they were just going to give the "winner", though I am hesitant to apply that word to this show, a green card, and I was all, "Hey, isn't that against the law?". At least that would be straight with the contestants. But no, they will actually win a team of lawyers who will work for one year to GET them a green card.

Suddenly, I aspire to be a judge. Suggestions, Jonathan? I know, I know, impartiality, but if this queer came before me with his, undoubtedly greasy, myopic legal team, I'd frown and scratch my chin for a couple of minutes and then tell them, hey, nice try, but we don't really need more people in this country desparate enough to eat worms and lightbulbs to get on TV.

Too bad it's in Spanish, because otherwise I think they could get some good Neilsons from the KKK. Additionally, do the losers get deported? Even if that isn't in the contract, I figure someone's going to figure out that the word "illegal" might not just be for decoration, and put in a few calls.

Way to go, retards. You really thought this through.

I couldn't find the official site, but you can read more about it in this one, or this one.

Hurt my legs.

My legs hurt. The front of my thighs. I don't even know if I can go to work. Aiya. Further updates when something happens, is decided, or fails to do either.

Additionally, comments:
1. I've never seen Judge Mathis. What's all this about?
2. Aight then. I shant post them. I'll just relish the accomplishment myself.
3. What's your problem, man? (This does not apply to Jonathan.)

Oh, also, MacHall, despite a lame comic this time, has compiled some nicely complementary Daily Show clips. Do any of you still read MacHall? Seems like I check it about once a month, if that.

Scott's B-day. (Paintball)

Okay, that was pretty real. Like VSmack's allnighter, except I tried to sleep.
Stayed most of the night at Alan's, doing many different things, but also watching some movies I've never heard of. One with the Chinese guys in America called "Better Luck Tomorrow" which was good, but didn't really come together in my opinion. There was another with Bloke ravers, whose name escapes me, and I thought was good, but I was realy realy tired at the time, so my opinion on this one might not be that reliable. To back this one up, my favorite line was "Good one Bruvva!", so what up with that?

I never really got to sleep, despite blindfolding myself with my folded-up shirt and moving to another room. So, we "got up" at around 7:00, did whatever was necessary, and I drove them to RLD paintball up in Brooklin. If you don't know Brooklin, I don't blame you at all. They have an A&P, and that's all I can really give them credit for. The trip there was uneventful, although we listened to a great deal of good music to keep us awake.

21 people, all aquainted with Scotty B. in some way showed up. The area was all outdoor, and was cool. Very cool. It mixed the regular experience of paintball with the joy of actual capture-the-flag and the horror of drowning. There was quite a bit of water which people fell into, although they avoided hitting their heads on the rocks. Speedball was done in an unusually large arena, and was awesome. Corey Meingarten and I are still the unstoppable duo in that game. Have you seen Equilibrium? (Thanks IMDB!) We were like that, but we did all that using only one gun.

Driving back, we spun "L'il John and the Kings of Crunk" or however you spell that shit. Purely for image of course, as we rode up into the A&P in Brooklin.

We did more once we got back to Alan's, but that was the biggest part of the day. You can see that I was justifiably tired.

Additionally, I think I'm going to mix some more takes into this blog. For the most part, this has just been a journal, and I lack a forum for my opinions. So, that is that.

Got to admit, it's getting better...

UTSC promised me a "worry free" summer, thanks to their something something program policy something. Why is it then, UTSC, that so much of my time has been occupied with university concerns and activities, and other worries in general? I suggest changing your claims, or taking up a greater holistic approach to anxiety management in combination with your advertising.

Anyways, sent out a bunch of e-mails, unviersity related, especially relating to my auditions for the music program. Rented a baritone (euphonium, it had to be clarified) at Long & McQuade for a very reasonable sum. So, hopefully that's set.

Additionally, I've breached level 5000 in Disgaea (I'll put up screenshots at some point), and I'm nearly to the point of trying Kokon Horay in BOF:DQ. Hope I can beat it this time through.

Going over to Alan's tonight, seeing as we have to leave early in the morning for paintball. We've rented the place out, so this should be pretty cool, especially with such a large group, and such a large facility.

Done two things

Well, it's barely noon, but this morning I finished "Peasant's Quest", and "Leaven of Malice". Additionally, I found out the German word for "team" is, "Mannschaft" (or so I'm told), and that there's a show on now, like Judge Judy called "Texas Justice". I'd like to see that, if it wasn't all small claims. Even if they were misdemeanors, that could get pretty intense.

In addition to all these things, Q-107 has been playing some really good stuff this morning. The rest of the day is looking good.

Shenanigans!

Yup. Terry instructed us to "do it right; do it white" today. That was pretty funny. Additionally, there is a general concensus, from workers of all races, that the Asian customers are intolerable. I'm kind of feeling sick today, so I'm glad I was able to take it easy, and work and at home.

Also, I'm off Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I'll actaully make some calls, but, if you are interested in going to Wonderland on one of these day, let me know which day. Okay? Okay.

So!

So, big news of the day is playing soccer at Thompson park. Unfortunately, I didn't get to stay for very long, due to work, but it was fun playing and seeing everyone again. Plus, there was this other guy called, I think his name was Hamun or something, and apparently he was on the Iranian under 12 national team. Cool.

Also, I am currently listening to that freak Finkleman on CBC Radio One, and now I have changed the channel. A few minutes ago, I sent off my third e-mail to CBC speaking out against Finkleman, and am prepared to keep doing so. If anyone would be interested in putting together a petition, let me know.

Well in hand.

So, we went down and paid my fees for university. No getting out now.

Also, I went to a barbeque etc. at UTSC today around 7pm. I hung out with Alex Stein, and Dong-Yi, and other Woburnites I did not expect to see there. There was live music, which was pretty good, and a dance group, and a breaking group, which were not, really. The "big picture" (ha) was Pirates of the Carribean, which was a pleasant diversion, although the sound set up was rather bad and produced long echoes. On the way out, I won a UTSC t-shirt and hat, so now I am set to represent my alma mater, whether I like it or not.

Not a bad day, although I froze biking home.

You got some 'splaining to do.

But I'll talk to you later.

Now then, yesterday was cool. We saw "Harold and Koooomuuar something something", and for coming from the makers of the movie we didn't see, it wasn't too bad. Afterwards, Boston Pizza, and I stayed over at Alan's.

Now, the big news there is that he has a very small, extrememly cute brown kitten. It is named "Opie", although the spelling may actually be "O.P", as it seems to have either/both the Autobots, and/or  the Mephisto shoes logo on it's head. it's very cute.

Anyways, I'm done typing fo now. Out.

Matters of personal interest

Well, I got new shoes today. I really needed them, as my others are, at best, in very poor repair. I don't really want to talk more about shoes.

I had a haircut the other day, and one of the madmen at that establishment put some sort of pomade (if that word is still applicable to any modern hair product) on my head. I can take or leave the appearance, but whatever it is smells like Pez, so I'm enjoying that. This will be my "in".

Also, I submited some fan art to qwantz.com, and if I get the okay from that websites author, I will be posting it up at Heapkings. Speaking of Heapkings, I really need that Mbari Hogun picture, so I'm going to take the bus all over the place tomorrow in hopes of finding it. Also, Qwantz has made me realize that I like writing more than drawing, so maybe I'll change the format of Heapkings to fit this new preference. We'll see.

Anyways, that's that for now. Welcome back Edward. I know it's a bit late to be saying that, but I figured I probably should say it where others can also realize that you are back. From China, if anyone didn't know.
